Webinar CR update Q2
In this webinar, Modint will provide an update on relevant developments. Additionally, the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) will discuss recent research on collaboration in the field of sustainability. Finally, Paulien Osse from the Wage Indicator Foundation will address developments related to living wages.
The ACM monitors fair competition and market functioning. Companies are allowed to make agreements to operate more sustainably—for example, to combat climate change or animal suffering, prevent environmental pollution, or protect human rights. However, these must not be prohibited cartel agreements. Recent research shows that knowledge of competition rules among textile companies could be improved. Textile companies may be missing opportunities to collaborate for greater sustainability. The research was conducted among companies from various sectors, including 31 companies in the textile sector. During the webinar, the ACM will explain the rules using practical examples.
Unfortunately, company-specific questions cannot be answered by the ACM.
Wage Indicator Foundation aims to improve labour market transparency by collecting, sharing, and comparing up-to-date information on living wages, living income, wages, labour law, collective agreements, the gig economy, and more. Through our research work, projects, and events we actively work to enhance working conditions across the world.
